MACEDON. Amphipolis. Hadrian, 117-138. Assarion (Bronze, 24 mm, 8.10 g, 6 h). AYT KAIC TPAI AΔPIANOC CЄ Radiate head of Hadrian to right. Rev. AMΦIΠΟΛЄITΩN Turreted city-goddess seated left, holding patera in her right hand and drawing fold of dress with her left. RPC III pl. 26, 646 (same dies). Very rare. Minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
